An Embarrassment of Riches
Sietz gets to watch his local Chi-Sox get schooled by Schilling, Arroyo and Lowe for the next three days. Tomorrow's game is on Fox and Sunday's is on ESPN, a rare treat here in the Big BK. Hey, Assclown, aren't you gonna be at the US Cellular Ashtray this weekend?
Tonight we get B_rry and Gi'nts at Shea on free teevee at 10.
And as if that weren't enough, the Angels are in town for the next three days. Normally I prefer to root for a team as opposed to against one, but after watching dozens of Yankee games over the past three seasons I've grown accustomed to it. This weekend presents a new issue, however: who to root against? The Evil Empire, whose lead is down to 8 and 1/2 games, just small enough to tease, or the Halos, the Sox' primary opponent in the wild card race? I'm going to let the head lead the heart this weekend, reach deep into my soul and get behind the Bombers. I don't feel good about it, but it's the hand I've been dealt.
By the way, Lisa, the Sox lead the universe in LOB. And what's up with MVN? That thing crashes more than Patrick Swayze.

First of all, is that difficult to spell my name correctly? I mean, it's in the freaking title of the page, fer chrissakes.
Second, yes, I will be at the Cell for the games tonight and tomorrow. I will proudly wear my 1986 Angels cap and cheer hard against the Beaneaters. At a strategic point, I plan on storming the field and taking out one of the groundskeepers. You never see people rush them for some reason.

Nobody rushes groundskeepers? Did you not watch the ALCS lat year? I seem to recall Karim Garcia and Jeff Nelson leading a savage scrum.
It's a beautiful piece of cosmic symmetry isn't it? The Sox in Chicago, the Angels in New York? Unfortunately,I tried too late to get tickets.

i don't know exactly what happened to mvn - something about the server being %$^%& and all i know is that i've lost 2 weeks of posts!!! which includes this really good article i did on maddux vs clemens. with stats and everything. we are supposed to go back on line on saturday. and i hope so cuz i'm going thru writing withdrawal and driving those poor lawyers at primer crazy.
and the sox do NOT lead in lob. the stros do!!! did you see that "game" tonite? well i did, or at least part of it. after the 6th HR by the cubbies off our for %#@$ pitching, oscar gave me one of Those Looks youse guys give us when you aren't dumb enough to come out and say it and i felt sorry for him and we left. but he, um, made it up to me. so i'm feeling better....
I don't ever want to hear you whine about Arroyo's run support ever again.
