Tim Wakefield, quite possibly the sweatiest man in the bigs, fluttered his way through the hacking mass that is the Toronto line up. Reigning AL batting champ Bill Mueller led the charge with a single, double and triple.
What do Toronto starter Miguel Batista and Mike Mussina have in common? Neither saw the fifth inning. Pity. The Twinkies took their second in a row from the Bombers, with Henry Blanco hitting his first triple since 8/2/2002 and Shannon Stewart chipping in with a single, double and homer from the top of the order.
The Angels managed to steal one from the D-Rays to increase their lead over fourth place Cleveland to three and a half games. I went up to midtown to watch the game on the I-Max, it's really the only way to capture the grandeur of El Gordo.
The Bush-men of Arlington won again to maintain the illusion that they are somehow imvolved in the wild card race. God bless 'em.
