you quoting that supervisor who doesn't know how to calculate total bases?
and i thought of one more stat to add in the formula for total bases/total outs - under total outs, you have to add "picked off" because that's not under CS. and how about double out for baserunning blunders (yes that means you berkman!)

Actually, pick-offs are generally scored as caught-stealing, regardless of whether the player was actually trying to take the extra base.
